post@nuestrasraicesverdes.com reaches the person who runs the checks. Two to
three working days is normal; there is no queue behind it and no ticket number, so if a week goes by
in silence something went wrong and it is worth sending again.
Things that get a proper answer
- A page that is wrong. The address of the page and the sentence you are
disputing is enough. A source helps. Corrections are dated and stay on the page rather than being
quietly edited in. - A change we have missed. If you run a site described here and a registration
has been granted, a company renamed, or terms rewritten, say what and when. Re-checks cost nothing
and nothing is expected in return. - A step that makes no sense. If one of the four checks reads as gibberish, the
explanation is at fault, not the reader. - Provincial bodies, researchers and journalists asking how the map is
maintained.
Things that go straight in the bin
- Link purchases, paid mentions, “content partnerships” and anything else with a rate card.
- Guest articles. Nothing here is written by anyone else.
- Disputes with an operator about your own account. We have no authority over any company and
cannot get money back for you. That goes to the operator’s complaints process, then to the body
named in its terms — and if the loss is doing real damage, the
help on this page is more useful than we are.
An address instead of a form
A form would mean a database, a spam filter and another paragraph in the
privacy page, to achieve exactly what an address achieves on its own. Same
reasoning as the missing newsletter and the missing comment section: each would collect something
about a reader that this guide has no use for.
