Immigration, Health & the Environment

Daniella Navarro is a health educator for Sea Mar, a community health clinic in Washington state, with a background in Biology, Cultural Anthropology, Education and Social Justice. In Episode #8 we discuss the intersection between the health of immigrants in the United States and their environmental displacement. As daughters of immigrants, we can only speak on our experiences as first-generation U.S citizens, and our experience working and living with immigrant communities. The experience of undocumented folks and other first-gen immigrants, in terms of health and environmental disparities is one we don’t experience as U.S citizens.
